Toy Libraries Closed Until Further Notice

Monday, March 16th, 2020

After careful consideration of the risks from coronavirus to both staff and members, we have decided to close the toy libraries until further notice.

We will not charge any overdue fees on toys currently out on loan. You can either hold onto the toys until we reopen, or return them to Exeter Scrapstore during their opening times. Please clean toys thoroughly and put in closed bags . The Scrapstore is currently open 11am-4pm Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat 10am-1pm. Do not return on a Tuesday as the store will be closed.

We are very sorry to take this action, but we want to help contain the virus as much as possible and protect our members.

We will post any updates on Facebook and our website. Please let other members know if you see them.

Thank you for your cooperation and keep washing your hands!

Coronavirus Prevention

Thursday, March 12th, 2020

We are concentrating on making sure that children, staff and visitors understand the importance of the following measures to help stop the spread of any illness or virus

  • Wash hands often, with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds, particularly
    • Before leaving home
    • On arrival at Toy Library and before playing with our toys
    • After using the toilet
    • Before preparing food
    • Before eating any food, including snacks
    • Before leaving the toy library
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Cover a cough or sneeze with a tissue, throw the tissue in a bin, then wash your hands
  • Do not attend Toy Library
    • If you or your child is ill or has a temperature
    • If you have been in contact with the virus. Please email admin@mgrtoylibrary.org to let us know. Late fees will not be charged for self-isolations.
  • Cleaning Toys
    • We aim to clean all toys as they are returned, and routinely clean toys that are played with during sessions
    • Please clean toys thoroughly before returning them
  • Closures

Many thanks for your co-operation in keeping us all safe!
