From the end of March, Exeter Scrapstore is changing its opening times to 11am – 4pm Wednesday to Friday and 10am-1pm on Saturdays. This will have no effect on Merry Go Round, we will still be open from 1pm-4pm on Tuesdays and 10am-1pm on Thursdays so do come and visit!

Come to our coffee morning and sale of recycled toys and children’s books on

Friday 9th April from 10am-1pm

in Belmont Hut in the park.

It’s in the Easter holidays so bring the children along!

Donations of good condition used toys and children’s books would be very welcome – just drop them off at the scrapstore with a note saying they are for the toy library, or during  toy library sessions at Merry Go Round or Carousel. Thank you!

Carousel will be closed on Thursday 7th Jan due to the extreme weather conditions, but Merry Go Round will open as normal

From January 1st, the cost of  Family Membership will rise slightly to £4.50.  Group membership fees and toy hire fees will stay the same.

The last session for both Carousel and Merry Go Round will be Thursday 17th December. Merry Go Round reopens on Tuesday 5th January, and Carousel reopens on Thursday 7th January.

If you want something in particular over the holidays, don’t forget we take bookings.

Wanted – a volunteer to help at Carousel Toy Library on Thursday mornings. This could be for the whole session or just for an hour or two, for instance if your child is at nursery and needs collecting at lunchtime. It’s a good opportunity for gaining experience of working with parents and children and you might even learn some new skills. There is more information on the volunteers page about the kinds of things you might do.

Best Dressed Teddy Competition, story telling from Looking Closer, Children’s Activities, Raffle and lots of fun!

Yummy refreshments provided by The Café in the Park

AGM 4-4.30pm all welcome

All entries for the Best Dressed Teddy Competion will win a special teddy badge, with prizes and certificates for the 3 best dressed teddies. The Deputy Mayor, Janet Henderson, has kindly agreed to judge the event

Stay & Play sessions at Carousel are now just about full, but we do have a reserve list for filling short term cancellations. Contact us by phone (279361) or visit the toy library session on Thursdays 10am-1pm if you want to go on the list for a particular session.
