The last session for both Carousel and Merry Go Round will be Thursday 17th December. Merry Go Round reopens on Tuesday 5th January, and Carousel reopens on Thursday 7th January.

Wanted – a volunteer to help at Carousel Toy Library on Thursday mornings. This could be for the whole session or just for an hour or two, for instance if your child is at nursery and needs collecting at lunchtime. It’s a good opportunity for gaining experience of working with parents and children and you might even learn some new skills. There is more information on the volunteers page about the kinds of things you might do.
If you are interested, please contact me either through the contact page or come in and have an informal chat during opening hours.

All entries for the Best Dressed Teddy Competion will win a special teddy badge, with prizes and certificates for the 3 best dressed teddies. The Deputy Mayor, Janet Henderson, has kindly agreed to judge the event
Stay & Play sessions at Carousel are now just about full, but we do have a reserve list for filling short term cancellations. Contact us by phone (279361) or visit the toy library session on Thursdays 10am-1pm if you want to go on the list for a particular session.
In addition to normal toy library sessions, Carousel will be running structured summer play sessions for parents and children to have fun and play together. These will include arts/crafts/freeplay/storytime/healthy snack and lots more. Sessions run from 9.30-11.30am on Tuesdays 28th July, 4th, 11th & 18th August.
Costs are £1 per child per session, and need to be booked in advance. Application forms from Carousel Toy Library or Reception at West Exe Children’s Centre.
Carousel will be closed on Thursday June 4th as the hall is being used as a polling station. Free week for toys loaned out over this time.
Lots of fun was had by all, with some great dancing to the music of Spin2 and large amounts of yummy cake, pizza and hot dogs being eaten.
We made over £140 for our Merry Go Round branch – many thanks to all who came, and a huge thank you to our committe for all their hard work
Come to our fundraising dance at Stoke Hill Infants School, 5pm-7pm, on Wed 22nd April. Lots of toe-tapping music, food and drink and a raffle! Support your toy library and have fun at the same time. Tickets £1.50 children, £3 adults. Available from Carousel and Merry Go Round Toy Libraries, and Stoke Hill Infants School.
