We are an online Toy Library service! From here you can safely join our toy libraries, and browse and book toys to take home https://my.mgrtoylibrary.org/
All returned toys are cleaned before going out on loan again.
You can book and collect toys from either the Merry Go Round site at Exeter Scrapstore or from Spinning Top Toy Library in The Beacon Centre.
Members from either toy library can use the online service; remember to return toys to the library they were borrowed from!

Merry Go Round Toy & Leisure Library is a registered charity based in Exeter. Our first toy library, Merry Go Round, opened at the end of 1999 and is based in Exeter Scrapstore on the edge of Belmont Park. The Scrapstore is also a charity and we work well in partnership together.
Merry Go Round Toy Library proved to be so popular with families, carers and children that in November 2006 we opened a new branch, Carousel Toy Library, in West Exe Children’s Centre in St Thomas. Sadly this toy library had to close in December 2017 after more than 11 years due to changes in services at the Centre.
We opened another toy library, Spinning Top, in the Beacon Centre in Beacon Heath in March 2018.
Our service is for families and groups with children aged from a few months to early teens.
You may be a foster parent or childminder, or involved in a group activity such as afterschool club, playscheme or preschool. Anyone who looks after children is welcome to become a member! Toy Libraries are like an Aladdin’s cave full of things you want to take home; they are centres for lending the best toys and games which adults and children can enjoy together. Many of our toys promote inclusion, with some specially designed for children with disabilities. We also have a wide range of resource books and multicultural toys. We are happy to give advice about specific toys for individual children, or alternatively what resources would suit group play. Come and visit us!
